The SBase® control plate replaces the control section of your Fender Telecaster pickguard to get the looks and easy access same as a XXXXX. Produced in 2.0 mm high-grade stainless steel with a Mirror-8 finish, and manufactured in the Netherlands.
Fender Telecaster bodies with internal "pickup to control cavity" wiring (so without a visible routing channel) are most suitable for a stand-alone SBase® control plate. These are typically pre-1970 and AVRI Fender Telecaster, vintage replica's e.g. by FujiGen, Tokai or Matsumoku, and aftermarket replacement bodies such as Allparts and Warmoth.
For Fender Telecaster bodies with an external (visible) top routing, you can cover the remaining area with an adjusted SBass pickguard as shown in the pictures. In all cases it's up to your own taste whether or not you retain the remaining part of the pickguard.
Disclaimer: Due to the wide variety of Fender Telecaster body specs it is responsibility of the customer to check on non-matching dimensions and internal vs. external routing.
